2020 Honda BR-V Engine

The 2020 Honda BR-V is going to use the same engine that is already in the Honda Fit. A 1.5-liter four-cylinder model is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The automatic gearbox is optional. Another option is all-wheel drive, while 2WD remains standard. Furthermore, these upgrades could be added to a diesel drivetrain, which is also part of the lineup for the 2020 year model. It is fuel-friendlier and comes with more torque.

A 1.5-liter diesel unit can produce 100 hp. A petrol engine in combination with a CVT transmission adds 20 ponies more. On the other hand, diesel offers 200 Nm of torque, while the petrol unit can make only 145 Nm. Diesel is also ahead with fuel economy numbers. This engine returns 21 km/l. Petrol powertrain with automatic transmission goes 16 km/l, while the manual is slightly worse – 15.5 km/l. The new 2020 Honda BR-V could be lighter thanks to the larger use of aluminum and carbon fiber. It would also lead to better fuel economy.
