First impressions are still not available, but be sure that people of Honda, Acura’s parent company, will listen to buyer’s feedbacks. Compared to its predecessor, the 2020 Acura RDX is replacing a big V-6 engine with smaller turbo-four unit. Well, the new unit is more potent than the bigger sibling. It adds 28 pound-feet for total 280 lb-ft of torque. Well, the power output is 7 ponies under the previous value. Furthermore, the 2020 Acura RDX continues to use a ten-speed automatic transmission, launched with 2019 model. This gearbox replaced a six-speed transfer case. Front-wheel drive is standard, while the AWD remains optional mode. Fuel economy numbers are not measured yet, but we are sure that 2020 Acura RDX is going to return over 30 mpg on highway, even with AWD.
2020 Acura RDX Models
The most exciting trim level for the 2020 Acura RDX will be A-Spec. This package increases the price for around $7,000 and adds dark theme inside the cabin. Larger wheels and exhaust tips boosts aggressiveness. Premium audio system and leather seats are improving the interior to more luxurious levels.
However, this is the mid-range model. Potential buyers of the 2020 Acura RDX will be able to choose between the entry-level model and the same crossover with technology package. These two still cost less than A-Spec version. On the other hand, the most attractive model is not the most expensive. Advance package for 2020 RDX is going to add active damper system. Inside, heating for rear seats in unique for all trims. More special features will raise the cost of the 2020 Acura RDX Advanced model and make it the most expensive in the lineup.
2020 Acura RDX Price
The starting price for the 2020 Acura RDX will be under $39,000. However, each of next trim levels will increase the cost for around $3k. That means Technology package model will be around $42,000, the A-Spec $45,000, and Advanced Package over $48k.
The debut of the 2020 Acura RDX is still unknown. The company will give some time to the first third-generation model. So, the next edition of compact luxury crossover will come in 2020.
