I like the ground clearance of my 2007 Honda Element LX. I’d buy another one if the vehicle is similar in ground clearance and interior space. Thanks

Love my 2008 element with 240,000 miles! Ready for a new one and my granddaughter will drive my old one another 150,000miles! Waiting patiently for 2018!

  2. DJacob says:

Want a new one, won’t give up my current 2008 unless the new one adds in higher ground clearance, at least 8.7 inches like the Subaru outback.

I have a 2009 Honda Element. To haul canoes and kayaks I used the factory front roof rack mount. I could not use the factory rear roof rack mounting point as it was uselessly, 30 inches from the front mounting point. So, I tapped into the roof and installed rear roof rack mounts 54 inches back from the factory front mounts. When hauling surfskis, sea kayaks or canoes the 54″ spread between the cross bars allows a secure tie down for the longer watercraft that is much more resistant to the crosswind effects of tractor trailer vortex blasts. I hope the new Element has roof rack mounting points that are further apart, preferable close to 54″. I love my Element, it has a 5 speed manual with all 4 wheel drive, great for hauling boats to muddy or sandy launch sites.

I have a 2003 Element, garage kept with 112,000 miles. I guess it will last till the new ones come out seeing many other people have over 200,000 miles on them.

I’m waiting for the new ones to arrive! Hoping it will have the same flexibility in seats – total fold-down, removal, hanging on sides. Hope a manual version will be available! Loved my Element more than any car I’ve ever had, and I’m in my 70s. Loved loading it up with bikes, dogs, etc. Most versatile vehicle ever!

    Let me at it!!

  8. Stephen Mathew Combs says:

My family has been going everywhere in our 2003. We’ve moved, gone camping, on vacation, placed our bikes, dog, lacrosse equipment, fishing gear, Christmas trees, newborn children, sick children, other people’s children, coolers, toboggans, many bags of groceries, firewood, fishing bait, topsoil, and birthday cakes. I am sure that I have left out many items from my list, but our Element is not only 14 years old, it has been reliable and ultra versatile. It is nice to hear that Honda has given the Element an encore. Thanks for listening to the fans!

Got a 2004 Element and nearing the 200,000 mile mark. Gotta say I ain’t impressed with the new design. Does anybody think about washing these things. No I don’t live anywhere near a car wash, I gotta do it myself. I love the space in it, can haul just about anything. The new model looks sorta like a Soul.

  12. Phil M says:

My element 2008 (front wheel drive) I traded it in with 294K it was never in the shop except for maintenance. I have a 2013 ridgeline and 2014 CRV I hope the rumors are true Ill trade them both in the first day.

I have a 2005 Honda Element EX AWD. Most intelligent interior space design that I have ever seen. If I could, I would buy another copy tomorrow.

  14. Scott S. says:

My wife and I love our 2009 Element EX AWD. It just turned over to 131,500 miles. The Element is the best vehicle we’ve ever owned. We would definitely buy another, if they were still made. Not so sure of the proposed new design, it looks smaller. We’ve hauled just about everything in it over the years. Heck, we hauled an oversized sofa in it with the tailgate open. I can even fit a full size two-stage snow thrower in it with room to spare.
