The 998 cc is a unit that moves 2018 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade around. Comparing to the previous generation, the 7th edition of the bike has 11 hp more. Now, the output is set at 190 horses. Furthermore, it adds 82 pound-feet of torque. Liquid is cooling the inline-four drivetrain. The bike is also using a acceleration position sensor right on the handlebar. Also, control “throttle by wire” is present for the first time from 2017.

Besides standard motorcycle, we will find ABS model with special gyro-assisted ABS system. Electronic control system could be found on the SP versions. That is not all, since the 2018 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade has SP2 model. While buyers can tune the first Fireblade SP bike, the SP2 version is coming packed without extra options. Nevertheless, it will meet demands of all riders with its ride control and performance.

Having so many trim levels makes the price start at $16,500 and ends at $25,000. Between entry model and SP2 are ABS and SP. The first one is slightly more expensive than the base unit, while the other one carries the price tag of $20,000. We are still waiting on further information about the 2018 CBR1000RR Fireblade. We could see its debut in the summer, or even earlier.
