The 2017 Honda HR-V is the smallest crossover of Honda. History of this nameplate is quite interesting. Original model came in 1998 and it was produced until 2006. In visual aspect, it will also come unchanged, which means same design language that borrows many elements from bigger models like CR-V or Pilot. New Honda HR-V will be the smallest crossover in company’s offer. The 2017 HR-V will give enough space and also well-equipped cabin, both with drive assist and entertainment systems. According to some reports, this model will come with updated infotainment system.
2017 Honda HR-V engine
We don’t expect changes under the hood of 2017 Honda HR-V. It will come with the same two petrol engines in offer. The first one, which is available for U.S. models and some other markets is 1.8 liter I-4 engine, which has max output of 150 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque. This engine comes paired with either 6-speed manual or CVT. There will be also one more engine in offer. It is also a petrol-powered. It is a 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine, which makes around horses and 115 pound-feet of max torque. This engine will not be available on the U.S. market.
2017 Honda HR-V release date and price
The 2017 Honda HR-V is expected to come somewhere in the second half of next year. Since there are no bigger modifications planned, price should remain pretty much the same. Base model should go around 20.000 dollars.
